Digital Concept Map

Summary:

This concept map is designed to help teachers easily see how learning theories connect to instructional design models, technology strategies, and classroom activities. Each main branch starts with one of the four major learning theories, and then breaks down into aligned models, digital strategies, and examples of technology-enhanced activities. Teachers can start with the theory that best matches their teaching philosophy and follow the connections to find multimedia tools and strategies that make sense for their style. The purpose of the map is not to tell teachers there is only one “right” way to use technology, but to show that technology should match how they already believe students learn best. For example, a teacher who prefers structure and clear skill mastery may connect more with behaviorism and direct instruction tools. A teacher who values collaboration and real-world problem-solving may feel more comfortable using constructivist strategies like problem-based learning supported by digital tools. Understanding a teacher’s philosophy is important because coaching works best when it feels supportive, not forced. When technology recommendations align with a teacher’s preferred learning theory and instructional style, they are more likely to feel confident trying new tools and using multimedia in meaningful ways
