About me
Hi, I’m Larissa Juarez, a dedicated Special Education teacher with a passion for creating inclusive and engaging learning environments. I'm currently exploring opportunities to further my education and deepen my understanding of how technology can enhance learning for all students. I hope this website offers valuable insight into the ISTE Standards and highlights the many benefits they bring to educators and learners alike.
My Philosophy
I believe technology can really change the way students learn, making lessons more interesting, interactive, and personalized. But technology shouldn’t just be used because it’s new or cool but it needs to have a clear purpose that helps students understand the material better or express their ideas in different ways. When used well, technology can help teachers connect with students and meet their unique learning needs.
As a technology coach, I see myself as both a learner and a helper. To stay on top of new tools and ideas, I’m always involved in professional learning networks (PLNs) where I connect with other educators. These networks, whether online groups, webinars, or conferences, help me learn about the latest tech trends and best teaching strategies. Being part of a PLN keeps me inspired and growing so I can be a better resource for teachers.
When I work with teachers, I focus on understanding what they need and helping them find tech solutions that fit their classrooms. I don’t believe in one-time trainings and coaching is an ongoing process where we try things out, learn from mistakes, and keep improving together. I also try to create a positive space where teachers feel comfortable experimenting with new tools without fear of failing.
At the end of the day, my goal is to help teachers use technology in ways that make learning more creative, fun, and meaningful. By staying active in PLNs and continuing to learn myself, I can bring fresh ideas to the table and support teachers as they grow their skills too.
